About
Hi, I'm Léo, Founder and CEO of GUARDIAN.
GUARDIAN started as my master's thesis project in Innovation Design Engineering, a joint program between Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art. After consulting with many stakeholders, I recognized the urgent need to address cardiac arrest, especially the often-overlooked importance of chest compressions.
Given the physical demands of chest compressions and the limitations of bystanders, education alone was insufficient. A device that performs chest compressions was essential.
Since no such device was publicly available, creating one that is effective, comprehensible, and easy to use under stress became my primary goal. This project perfectly blends innovation, design, and engineering, making it the ideal final project for my IDE program.
